Book a week. The prices we can cite for Greece are weekly asking prices, €4,527–9,538 for a catamaran (12 Knots, checked 27 Oct 2026), and the Ionian route we publish from Lefkas is built as 7 days: about 61 nautical miles in straight lines, longest leg 23.0 nm (our calculation). We found no official minimum or maximum number of days for a Greek catamaran charter, and no verified price for a 3-day, 4-day or 10-day charter.

Checked 2026-11-03. Turning the weekly average into a day rate would invent a short-charter price, so we do not. The same gap is on how much a 4-day yacht charter costs.

What the week is

RouteDays in our planStraight-line distanceLongest leg
Ionian from Lefkas661 nm23.0 nm
Cyclades from Lavrio7145 nm42.8 nm

Both are our routes, not a pilot book. The Cyclades week is longer in a straight line and sits in the meltemi season; we have no official meltemi source (weather risk). By our rules the best months for this route are September and October.

Shorter or longer than a week

  • Under 7 days: not verified. Ask the base for a quote. Do not divide the weekly average by 7 and call it a day rate.
  • 10 to 14 days: not verified as a price. Two weeks is two weekly fees only if the company says so. The Ionian loop above is one week; repeating it or adding the Cyclades is a different passage, and we have not priced it.
  • Changeover day: a Saturday-to-Saturday rule is widely talked about. We did not find it in an official text, so we do not state it as a rule.

What else moves the length

A first crew fits the Lefkas week more easily than the Cyclades week because the legs are shorter (our comparison of the two straight-line totals). That is not a skill rating. Licence rules still apply to whoever is in charge: Greece. If nobody holds an accepted certificate, add a skipper for the same seven days: cost with a skipper.

Frequently asked questions

How many days do you need for a catamaran charter in Greece?

A week. Our sources publish weekly prices, and the Lefkas loop we chart is 7 days and about 61 nautical miles in straight lines (our calculation). An official minimum number of days is not verified, and neither is a price for a shorter charter.

Is 4 days enough in the Greek islands?

We cannot price it. A 4-day charter rate is not in our sources. The Lefkas loop above is planned as seven days; cutting it is a different route, and the weekly average should not be divided into a day rate.

Ionian or Cyclades if I only have a week?

On our straight-line sums the Ionian week from Lefkas is about 61 nm and the Cyclades week from Lavrio is about 145 nm. The Ionian legs are the shorter ones. The Cyclades page carries the meltemi caveat.
